1. 자기 소개를 해달라
내 이름은 알리샤 고렐체바(Goreltceva Alisa). 러시아 북부지방의 소도시 출신이다. 예술가적 기질을 가져서 취미는 드로잉과 음악감상이다. 내 영감의 주요 원천 역시 드로잉과 음악감상이다.
2. 왜 패션을 공부하게 되었나?
어렸을 때부터 패션에 관심이 많았다. 주변인들을 스케치하고 내가 상상한 옷을 입혀보는 것이 좋았다. 예전부터 패션분야에서 일하고 싶다는 꿈을 가졌기에, 패션디자인을 공부하기로 결심했다.

3. 한국으로 온 이유는 무엇인가? 많은 패션스쿨 중 에스모드 서울을 선택한 이유는?
한국의 패션을 좋아하며, 옷을 입는데 관심이 많은 한국인들의 스타일이 좋다. 2년전 친구와 관광차 서울을 방문했을 때 너무 좋았기에, 한국에서 어학연수를 하고 공부해야겠다고 결심했다. 부산에서 어학연수를 하면서 한국의 패션스쿨에 대해 알아보다 에스모드에 대해 알게 되었다. 세계 최고의 패션스쿨 중 하나로, 그 분교가 서울에 있다는 사실을 알고 정말 기뻤다.
4. 에스모드 서울에서의 생활은 어떠한가?
외국인이기에 학교생활이 무척 어려울 것이라 각오하고 임했으나, 지금까지 경험한 에스모드 서울의 교수님들과 교직원들은 항상 도움을 주고 친절했다. 동료들 역시 무척 친절하여, 약간의 언어장벽이 있더라도 문제가 되지 않았다. 수업과 과제 역시 매우 흥미롭고 재미있어서, 매일 새로운 것을 배우는 기쁨이 있다.
5. 에스모드 서울의 가장 좋은 점은?
한마디로 분위기라고 말하겠다. 나는 지금까지 이렇게 많은 창의적인 사람들과 함께 한 적이 없다. 교수님들뿐만 아니라 동료로부터 새로운 것을 끊임없이 배울 수 있는 곳이다.
6. 최종 꿈은 무엇인가?
지금 당장 어떠한 직업을 목표로 하고 있지는 않다. 앞으로 여러 다양한 기회를 누리고 싶다. 패션산업은 꽤 타이트한 분야이며, 인생은 예기치 못한 놀라움으로 가득하다. 내일 무슨 일이 있을지 확실히 알 수는 없다. 따라서 내가 어떠한 일을 하게 될 지는 나중에 알 수 있을 것이다.

7. 좋아하는 디자이너는?
Alexander McQueen이 좋다. 판타지 영화용 의상 같은 옷을 디자인하는 브랜드이다. 평범한 느낌의 캐주얼 옷도 예술로 보인다.
8. 한국과 고국의 패션, 어떻게 다른가?
우리나라 사람들은 그다지 패션에 관심을 갖지 않는다. 보통 사람들은 편안한 옷이면 만족한다. 한국에서처럼 스타일이나 유행을 따르지 않는다. 러시아에서는 사람들이 패션에 우선순위를 두지 않는다. 좀 슬프다.

Alisa GORELTCEVA
1. Introduce yourself (Name, Country, Background etc…)
My name is Goreltceva Alisa and I am from a small town in the north of Russia. I am a first year student in ESMOD Seoul. I’m somewhat of an artist and I spend a lot of my time drawing. I also listen to music almost constantly and it has become the main source of my inspiration.
2. The reason that you're studying FASHION?
I’ve been interested in fashion since I was a kid. I also love drawing people and putting them in various outfits I create in my head. Also for a long time I’ve had a dream of working in the fashion industry in the future so that’s why I decided to study fashion.
3. Why KOREA? Why ESMOD SEOUL?
I love korean fashion and the way that people care about the way they dress. I also really loved Seoul when I was visiting it with my friend as tourists about two years ago so I decided to learn the Korean language and come here for my studies.
I stumbled upon ESMOD during my search for the fashion schools while I was in between my korean language courses in Busan. It was listed as one of the best fashion schools in the world and it made me excited that they have one of their schools located in Seoul.
4. How was your life at ESMOD SEOUL?
I expected it to be really hard since I am a foreigner but all of the teachers and staff I’ve had to deal with so far have been nothing but helpful. All of my classmates are also extremely nice and welcoming even if there is a small language barrier. I found all our classes and assignments to be really interesting and I learn something new every day.
5. The best thing of ESMOD SEOUL?
Probably the atmosphere. I’ve never had so many creative people around me in one place. You can learn something new not only from the professors but also from your fellow classmates.
6. Your final destination is a FASHION DESIGNER? If yes, describe (or imagine) your future. If no, what do you want to do?
I honestly don’t have a certain job option set for myself as a goal right now. There is a lot of different options and opportunities I would love to try in the future. Fashion industry itself is pretty hectic and life can be really unpredictable sometimes with some surprises here and there, so you never for sure what will happen tomorrow. I guess we’ll see about it later.
7. Your Favorite designer? Why?
I love Alexander McQueen. The clothes they make look like it was designed for some fantasy movies. And even their more ordinary, casual pieces look like art.
8. KOREAN fashion VS. Your Country’s fashion, what's it like?
In my country people don’t really care about fashion that much. Regular people usually just concerned about comfort, they don’t really care about following some certain style or trends like people do in Korea. Fashion is definitely not the first priority for people in Russia and it’s saddening in a way.
